Avant Group does not function as a consolidated operating entity, financial services firm, CPA firm, registered investment adviser (RIA), broker-dealer, or law firm. It does not provide regulated professional services. Instead, it facilitates access, coordination, and strategic perspective across its ecosystem of independent businesses and external professionals.
Our Founders
Frixmon Michael is the Co-founder and President of Avant Group of Companies, a diversified organization with operations in the USA, UAE, and India. He is a tax strategist, serial entrepreneur, MBA holder, Enrolled Agent, and certified leadership coach through Rice University.
His experience spans taxes, insurance, consulting, hospitality, healthcare, wholesale, and retail groceries. Frixmon’s leadership is grounded in excellence, integrity, and a commitment to delivering lasting client results. Through his nonprofit, Founders Forge, he promotes FIRE—Financial Independence, Retire Early—and helps others build lasting financial freedom.
Prem Shahi, CPA, is the Co-founder and CEO of Avant Group of Companies, as well as a seasoned tax strategist, serial entrepreneur, and trusted business consultant. He helps businesses navigate growth, compliance, and long-term financial success through practical tax planning and strategic advisory services.
With broad experience serving clients across the country, Prem is known for delivering clear, actionable guidance that supports sustainable business value. His leadership is grounded in excellence, integrity, and a commitment to helping clients achieve lasting results.
Beyond his work in tax and advisory services, Prem has co-founded and helped build businesses across tax, insurance, consulting, healthcare, hospitality, wholesale, and retail sectors. This diverse entrepreneurial background gives him a practical, real-world perspective that strengthens the advice and solutions he delivers to clients.

The platform is supported by appropriately credentialed professionals, including Enrolled Agents (EAs), and collaborates with independent CPAs and tax advisors across jurisdictions.
Avant Tax is particularly focused on cross-border tax advisory, with a specialized emphasis on:
• India–U.S. Non-Resident (NRI) taxation
• UAE-related tax structuring considerations
• Cross-border income characterization and repatriation strategies
• Residency, source-of-income, and treaty-based positioning
